Where do you climb?
We climb at Planet Rock, the local climbing gym, and offer carpools if you have any trouble getting there. We run monthly trips to outdoor climbing locations when the weather permits, or if it's too cold there are day trips to Peabody Ice Climbing. Check you emails for information on trips.
What do I get when I pay dues?
When you pay dues you will get priority access to carpools, access to club trips, and exclusive discounts at Planet Rock. Annual dues are $20, payable via Venmo to @MichiganClimbingClub (include your uniquename and date of birth) or you can pay in cash to any board member.

What if I've never climbed before?
Not to worry! Planet Rock offers starter classes to teach you everything you need to know. Check out their starter package so that you can safely learn the ropes. We love to share climbing with new members, so shoot us an email if you need any help getting started.
Whats the difference between the climbing club and the climbing team?
Many of our members are part of both organizations, so you don't need to choose between the two. The club organizes outdoor trips and social events, while the team participates in competitive events. Check out their website to learn more about the team.
Do you ice climb?
Yes we do! We have many climbers who are stoked on ice climbing and we attend Ice Fest in Munising, MI, every year. For more local ice climbing, the club plans day trips to Peabody Ice Climbing to keep our ice tools from getting rusty.
